On the 1st of April 2014, Montage Cable Network, a privately owned Digital Satellite Television Company launches in Nigeria. Set to provide a quality credible alternative in exciting family entertainment, lifestyle, news, documentaries, movies, children, movies, sports and music channels for the West African sub-regional pay TV viewing market.

With a 36 channel range, Montage cable network offers cutting edge broadcast and reception by putting customers viewing and technology preference first. All decoders come standard as PVR (Personal Video Recording) that record video in a digital format to a disk drive, USB flash drive or any other mass storage device. The monthly subscription cost is pegged at N5,000 and additional channels will be added in the future.

On the 29th of March, at a private product presentation in Abeokuta,  Ogun State, and as a testament to the standard of invigorating content on the Montage Cable Network, the former president of Nigeria Chief Olusegun Obasanjo acquired a decoder making him the first person in Nigeria to subscribe to the Montage Cable Network. Citing the need for healthy competition in Digital Satellite Television services as consumers will have the power to bargain.
